Rani Mukherji’s much-awaited film, Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, has been launched by many. The movie had a positive buzz from the time of the trailer launch and it managed a decent collection on the box office. The OTT rights of the movie were acquired by Netflix.

The movie was released in theatres on March 17, 2023. Even before the release, the movie had already locked its OTT partners as Netflix. The movie made its way to the OTT platform from May 12.
Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway: Cast and Crew
Directed by Ashima Chibber, the film is written by Ashima along with Sameer Satija and Rahul Handa. Emmay Entertainment is the banner under which has been produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani. Popular names like Rani Mukerji, Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh and others have been cast for the film.
The cinematography has been done by Alvar Kõue and the film is edited by Namrata Rao. Ace music composer Amit Trivedi has given the songs for the film. Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is distributed by Zee Studios.

Presented as a drama, Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway: Cast and Crew are based on true events – a story of a resilient and courageous mother who stands by her virtues, against the entire nation of Norway, to protect her children. The film will showcase her fight which will highlight her struggles on the legal and societal front.
Announcing the trailer, Zee Studios said, “Mrs. Chatterjee’s fight against an entire nation to reunite with her children is now Desh Ka Matter.”
Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway: Pre-release Buzz
The film was announced in March 2021, and the filming was wrapped in October 2021. Ahead of the release, during the initial media interactions, Rani Mukherji shared her thoughts about the role and said, “These are stories that need to be told. I am hoping that the story of this film will resonate with every Indian the way it did for me and my team. It is an incredible story of human resilience that will appeal to audiences across the country and across every age group.”

The story is based on true events where a Kolkata-based couple had moved to Norway, and post their two children were taken away by the government’s child welfare department, the couple appealed for help to the Indian government and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
